The legal system is one of a handful of most important innovations in all of human history, comparable to the innovation of language in its power to help human beings collaborate. But it can be better.

So I’m on a mission to help the legal system to embrace innovation to help people create, collaborate, and connect.

Legal Engineering and Legal Product Management and Marketing

As a legal engineer/product manager/entrepreneur/consultant I’ve worked on:

  • an online research tool to help litigators at the some of the largest global firms navigate the court systems throughout the country
  • starting my own business to help lawyers connect with corporate in-house counsel (that one didn’t get far off the launch pad but I learned a lot . . . )
  • developing a subscription legal plan and training attorneys to handle questions from consumers and small businesses
  • analytics tools using machine learning to help the biggest insurance carriers in the world predict mass tort lawsuits
  • marketing court records analytics tools to bring transparency to the court system

I was honored to serve as a judge at Loyola Law School Moot Court

Practicing Law

Throughout my career I’ve alternated between developing new legal products and practicing law:

  • as a commercial litigator for Fortune 500 clients at one of the largest corporate law firms
  • as an intellectual property litigator for a mid-sized firm
  • as a business litigator for a litigation boutique
  • as a transactional health care attorney for a health care boutique
